Last weekend I finally put up the Christmas tree. We have a tiny apartment so we can only have a tiny tree, but it makes the house look so cozy, I love turning the lights on the minute I step in the house, instant mood changer!
I worked in a few Christmas illustrations to celebrate this season. It’s definitely a great time of the year to sit and draw, since it’s usually so cold outside! Although it is tempting to just stay home and work on some new projects, I try to push myself to go out and wander in London, it looks so beautiful with all the Christmas decorations and lights. It is hard not to fall in love with the city.
I am still finding my style when it comes to illustration and I am never afraid to try new things, and I decided to push myself a bit when it came to texture and tools, so I used Sketch, Sketches and Procreate, as well as guache and watercolour.
I enjoy drawing plants so much, I played with the concept of having plants under the Christmas tree.

My kind of stocking fillers
I know this is probably a sign that I am getting old, but I am getting really excited about the idea of socks, and they don’t feel like a crappy Christmas present anymore. They can be so nice and festive, and cozy and warm! As Dumbledore would say,
"One can never have enough socks. Another Christmas has come and gone and I didn't get a single pair. People will insist on giving me books."
(For the record, I wouldn’t say no to some nice books either)

It makes me feel so lucky, beeing able to share that moment of joy!
